JOHN LONG

John Long has seven years of experience in post-production, and has worked five years as a Discreet Smoke artist. He currently runs The Smokehouse, a fully digital Discreet Smoke editing suite in the National Media Center.

Previously, John has done graphics compositing for show opens and long form documentary editing for such clients as Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, National Geographic Channel and Virginia Wolf Productions. His work has been seen internationally as well, on channels such as Discovery Channel International.

In addition, John has created awards graphics for The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) awards gala in Washington, DC, and graphics for Small Business Association (SBA), National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) and Office of Personnel Management (OPM). He also edits music videos.

Originally from Miami, John has lived in the Washington, DC area for eleven years. He holds a B.S. degree in Audio Technology from American University.
